Health insurance in Saskatchewan is provided under the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Newcomers are eligible for health insurance three months after arriving in Saskatchewan. You can apply using the eHealth Saskatchewan form:

To apply, you will need:

  1. Proof of legal entitlement to be in Canada (one of: permanent resident card, confirmation of permanent residency, Canadian immigration identification card, notice of decision, study permit, work permit, foreign passport with immigration stamp, temporary residence permit)

  2. Proof of residency in Saskatchewan (one of: mortgage document, rental/lease agreement, utility bill (excluding cell phone), employment certification, insurance policy, motor vehicle registration, driver’s license or ID card, child tax benefit statement, property tax bill)
